JOB PURPOSE
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for growing ProGO Wear sales and drastically increase its market share. This candidate will report directly to the Director Fabrication and Wear and be responsible for leading ProGO Wear sales function across South Africa driving growth in the wear solutions market while upholding our commitment to execution excellence. This role will focus on developing and managing the sales team to deliver exceptional customer service and technical solutions in chrome carbide wear plate and wear protection applications.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Engineering.
Computer literate with proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office suite.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively across South Africa.
Experience:
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in sales, marketing and clients’ relations.
Proven track record in sales management within the industrial/mining sector.
Demonstrated experience in wear protection solutions or related industrial applications.
Strong understanding of technical specifications and industrial applications.
Experience in managing and developing sales teams.
In-depth understanding of industrial wear protection applications.
Strong technical knowledge of chrome carbide wear plates and solutions.
Excellent understanding of the mining and industrial sectors in South Africa.
Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Understanding of project lifecycle and customer requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets.
Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives and agents across different territories.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and industry stakeholders.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to maintain competitive advantage.
Ensure adherence to ProGO Quality systems throughout the sales process.
Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to senior management.
Collaborate with technical teams to provide comprehensive wear solutions.
Manage the sales budget and forecast revenue accurately.
Support the geographic profit centre strategy to achieve targets.
